Living in the Shadows [Elincia]

In the outskirts, even further than where the Wandering Demons lived, was Echo's house. Having killed and looted numerous demons and other species in the past, people of his kind were often known to be rich, though Echo even exceeded that point- he was spoiled rotten, most of his profits towards a private estate located in an undisclosed location. In fact, to see this place, it took the collaboration of his magic, along with the dark walls of this area to gain entry to this place.

As the two arrive, Elincia asleep in his arms, Echo quickly rushes into the building, and rests Elincia upon a bed in one of the guest rooms of his house. Normally, these rooms would be for slaves, hostages, or prisoners. However, as Elincia is the legend behind the history of Gallia, Echo had no choice but to make her an exception. Keita was the type to manipulate minds, and so he had the potential to control Elincia as he wished. If he did so for a legend's power, he would truly be a Satan. Echo couldn't afford that.

Echo pulls over a chair and watches over Elincia inside the room. He keeps his sword handy in case Keita finds him, though where he was now, it would be impossible- period. He had the mentality to watch over whoever he liked, and as long as he liked, for he is a demon; a creature that lives both through the day and through the night.

Elincia continued sleeping, and would until the destruction, pain, and chaos was over. Her body continued to weaken. Through the days, as she is not able to sustain food and water by sleeping, she may die during this period.

Echo examines Elincia from a distance, further as time passes, and as Elincia continues to sleep. He notices her body naturally react to the sensations of dehydration, malnutrition, and pain. He quickly flashes back and forth in time to make it seem as though water and food had just appeared in his hand. Realistically, however, he had travelled in and out of the kitchen to provide nutrients. He sets up a table and rests the meal on it, the table near where Elincia rests. Echo grabs a spoon and scoops some soup. He then approaches Elincia and, if allowed, slips it into her mouth (she could die if she resisted, anyway). Finally, he does the same thing with the water.

Time flies even more as Echo detects signs of pain. He provides antibiotics, pain-killers, and some vitamin pills for Elincia to take. He wasn't sure how long it's take before she would wake up, but for some reason, Echo hoped it'd be soon. He had the feeling now that he'd be forced to make a friend.

Elincia continued to sleep, her body slowly getting stronger, yet weak at the same time. As long as Keita continued his destruction it would be this way. (now continued on another post called Taking Land)
