Another Day (open)

I rode up the cafe needing to quench my thirst not for blood but for caffeine I walk in and sit down near the middle and I order a Triple caffeine shot mocha latte and pull out my Field Journal. "I hope nothing abnormal happens this evening..." I thought to myself while taking a gulp of my coffee.

I walked into the cafe that I had heard so much about from the others. (Hmm, this is quite the nice place. I'm glad somebody said something to me about it.) I saw Quindaro drinking his fill of coffee but decided to let him be. He looked "drained" so I didnt bother him. I sat down at a table nearby and looked around at the capacious room, wondering how this place came to be a bustling area.

I continue to sit and drink my coffee and write in my field journal and then I noticed Masaaki walk in and sit down near the corner. I didn't feel like talking at the moment so I just continued writing in my journal...

I was curious at what Quindaro was writing within his journal, but that's none of my business. The waitress came around and asked if I wanted to order anything. I asked for a coffee, and she went to the back to get it. But when she came back out, right before she got to my table bless her heart, she tripped and spilled the coffee. I went over to her and asked if she was ok, and she said she was sorry so many times. I was more concerned about her safety for she had burned her hands when she spilled the coffee. I helped her clean the coffee off of the ground and picked up the cup. When I tried to give the cup back, she initially took it, but her hands were apparently so burnt that it hurt just to hold it because she dropped it after she took it. I caught it before it hit the ground, but when I looked up, a single tear had begun to fall from her eye. I reached up a wiped it away, and with my magic, healed her hands back to their original condition. I asked if she could sit down and chat and she accepted but first she insisted that i get my coffee. So once more, she went back and got the coffee and came back, sat down, and talked with me.

Elincia sat in the cafe', her book in her hand as usual, drinking a mocha frappe. She saw Quin writing in what seemed like a journal and he seemed troubled. She got up and headed his direction, hoping she can help or figure out whats going on.

After flipping through a few pages I took a drink and looked up to find Elincia walking towards me "Good evening Elincia!" I raised my stein full of the heavenly drink we know as coffee.

Elincia approached Quin then sat down. "Good evening to you as well." She smiled politely then took out her nook as usual. "So how are you? You seem a little troubled.."

I put my stein down and look at her "things aren't adding up.....at least whats happened recently" I looked down at my field journal then raise the fairly big book "This Journal is my field journal It has compiled information from my hunting quotas to events that have happened to me here, to documenting everyone I've met so far..." I put the book back down and flip to a certain page linking the death of my family to the recent event at the club.

I suddenly lost all sense of hearing in my ears while the waitress was still speaking to me.
(Oh man, why now of all times would you activate?) I turned to the waitress and told her the situation and how I had to end the conversation there. She understood and got up, going about her business.
(Nice lady.) I got up and began walking forward, but the void of hearing now intensified to an unbearable ringing. I covered my head but brought my hands back down to look what had been done to them. They had the same scald marks as the ones I healed. My wings burst out of my back even when I didn't tell them to. I began to walk forward again, only to proceed into a limp, and fall flat on my face all together. (Why now? Only once has this happened before, why is it happening now?) I thought as I blacked out.

after hearing the sound of someone hitting the ground I turn around fast "Masaaki!" I go over and look him over... I checked his pulse "he's still alive...I wonder what happened..." I look over at Elincia "what could've happened?"

Elincia not knowing what was going on shrugged her shoulders. "I have no clue.. But.. everyones acting up lately. First Keita.. then those people coming after me, and now this? I'm getting worried Quin.." She picked Masaaki off the floor gently and held him in her lap, singing a quiet hymn that healed wounds quite well.

After getting Masaaki help I look at Elincia "I think If I can get some more leads I could piece together something" I put my hand on my head "I've been having the worst headaches lately..."

Elincia looked up at Quin with a sad expression. "Lets home we find something out.. and fast.. Before things get any worse. Now bend down towards me child."

I get up and sling Masaaki over my shoulder "I'll give him a ride on my motorcycle..." I turn to Elincia "can you come with me? I need someone to make sure he doesn't fall off the bike..." we head outside the bike is enough to be a 3 seater after removing the canvas I had on the back. I then look at Elincia then hand her a pair of goggles "here don't want a bug flying into your eyes"

Elincia shook her head. "I don't need a motorcycle. I got something better." She smirked then shifted into her wolf form and howled. [i]I can take him off your hands if you'd like, i mean.. I can carry him WITHOUT him falling off.[i] She winked and laughed. Then howled once more letting Keita know where she was in case he needed to know.

I chuckled "Alright if you insist" I get on my motorcycle and the Engine Roars to life "Lead the way I'll follow!"

Elincia looked dumb founded. "Where are we going again??" She puts Masaaki on her back, ready to lead the way.

"Back to the cottage in the woods I've got an extra cot he can stay in until he recovers" I say as I put my goggles and bandanna on

Elincia smiled. "Sounds like a plan." She put Masaaki on he back and howled into the wind then bounded off towards the cottage in the woods.

I sped off following Elincia "pretty fast for a wolf!" I thought to myself I take the travel time towards the cottage to reflect on what I was trying to piece together in my Journal.

Elincia continues to bound towards the woods, not slowing down a bit. What do you expect from a princess? she laughed.

I arrive at the Cottage shortly after Elincia did I park my bike near a tree and head in "come on in!" I go to the room in the back and pull out a cot "Here we go...." I say while going to the other room to get some blankets.

Elincia walked into the cottage with Masaaki in her arms. "Thanks Quin. Your a sweetheart. I appreciate what your doing for him.. and me.." She laid Masaaki on the cot.

After getting Masaaki help we go to the kitchen and talk about the current situation "Elincia I think that what happened at the club was a message to you and most likely me..." I pull out my field journal and open to the part that I was writing in "look here so here's 10 years ago.....now there's the club incident....and one of the killers of my family was there" I walk over to the coffee pot and put some coffee grinds in and start brewing.

I awoke to an unknown place with a burning sensation in my neck. I began to rise, only to fall back into the pillow. I then noticed a familiar fragrance to which I immediately perked up. (Somebody's here. I best not burden them any longer.) I sat up and began to overhear a conversation that two people were having in a room adjacent to this one. (That sounds like Quindaro..., and Elincia's here too?) (What's going on here?) I lay back down to hear this conversation out due to its intriguing nature. (I'll hear this, write a note, then leave so I don't become a nuisance any longer.)
